A letter from our owner

You may have noticed we’ve been quiet on social media these last few months. Last year, we hit a milestone of 5 years in business. For some reason, this hit me. I started to ponder and reflect on if I was happy with our growth and what I am doing. After months of introspection and reflection, I realized that I had not been truthful to myself. That I was unhappy and frustrated with my role. As we have grown over the last 6 years, I have been pulled out of the creative side of making cakes and solely working on the business side for the last 3 years. I realized I needed to make a change. 

This year, I started doing that. I started exploring different ways that I could do this business in a way that if more authentic to me. For that reason, I have decided to put Empowered Plant Cakes on pause for the time being. I will be restructuring the business over the next few months so I can take on more of a creative roll. We also plan on relaunching as Empowered Desserts, our new branding we have been working on for the last year. Unfortunately, as we make this transition we will not be producing cakes for a few months to restructure. Many of our wholesale customers have received their last orders and we have stopped taking pre-orders.
